Thanasak Nilsonthi (P’Pui)

A doctoral candidate
in collaboration with Grenoble INP, France

First of all, let me introduce myself. My name is Pui, a doctoral student in materials engineering.

The reason that I chose to study in this field is because materials is extremely essential for the creation of modern inventions in the industry, including any devices used in daily life. As this department is moving towards the ASEAN Economic Community in 2015, the department has launched the cooperation agreement with Grenoble Institute of Technology (Grenoble INP), France, which is ranked as a number one in materials science in France (by QS World Universities Rankings 2012). This collaboration indicates the comparable educational standard of our department to the world-class university. At our department, the students will have a chance to study and research abroad, to learn with the world-renowned professors, and to use the advanced equipments in laboratory. At Grenoble, I have experienced a wonderful life under the environments of mountains and snow, and a lot of other things much more than what I can say.

Finally, I would like to suggest that the department of materials engineering is the alternative choice for the premium education. It can equip us the knowledge with memorable feelings during the study in university. It’s like when we have to choose to travel by a ship, whether we should travel with the one that makes us safe, warm, and surely that will lead us to the mainland of our dream.
